The Faith Baptist Bible College women's basketball team travelled to Dubuque, IA last night to take on host Emmaus Bible College. Faith won the game 62-46 and are now 2-13 on the year.
Faith put forth their best first half of basketball so far this year as they took a half time lead of 39-19. The Lady Eagles were able to score both inside and outside, as well as get a few fast break points. With the first half lead of twenty, the Lady Eagles were able to keep the lead and win 62-46 in the second half. Three young ladies finished in double digits led by Kelsey Grider with 13, Jenna Bean with 12, and Ashley Pearson with 10. Faith controlled the boards, outrebounding Emmaus by 18, led by Kelsey Grider with a season high 14 rebounds. Carissa Grogg led the team with a season high six assists. Becca Saatman led the team in steals with four.
The Lady Eagles next host AFLBS at home on Friday, January 25th. That game will tip off at 6:00 PM, followed by the senior night recognition for Senior Guard Shelby Whitcomb.
