Central Christian Tops Lady Eagles
The Faith Baptist Bible College women's basketball team travelled to Central Christian College of the Bible of Moberly, MO on February 1st for an MCC conference game. The Lady Eagles hung with CCCB for much of the first half, but ultimately came up short as Faith lost the game 34-82. The Eagles are now 3-14 on the year.
Faith was able to play their best first ten minutes of basketball so far this year on the season taking on a top ten school in the NCCAA II. The Eagles scored quickly on a Carissa Grogg baseline jumper. Defending well, and shooting 48%, Faith held a 24-23 lead with Jenna Bean scoring 10 points in those 10 minutes. CCCB was able to regroup, and put Faith away not allowing the Eagles to score in the last 10 minutes of the half. CCCB dominated the second half 41-10 to show why they are ranked. The Lady Eagles were led in scoring by Jenna Bean with 10 points. Kelsey Grider led the team in blocks with five. Becca Saatmann had a career high six steals.
