Ladies Show Improvement in Loss to Grace
The Faith Baptist Bible College women's basketball team hosted Grace University of Omaha, NE on February 12. Faith lost the game 27-60. Faith is now 4-16 on the year.
The Lady Eagles were looking to improve from the last time they played against Grace University. On December 14, Grace overpowered Faith and won the game by 53 points. Faith showed improvement making up 20 points this time in the deficit margin. It wasn't looking pretty to start as Grace came out strong taking the lead at 29-2. After that point Faith was able to start to hit a few shots thanks to Jenna Bean's three three point makes, and Becca Saatmaan's buckets. Faith also picked up the defensive intensity. Faith was able maintain with Grace after the slow start at 25-31 to end the game.
Saatmaan led Faith in scoring with 12 points. Bean had 11 points. One of the positives of the night was Kelsey Grider's defense. Kelsey set a new record with in the single game blocks category recording 10 blocks. She was previously tied in that blocks category with eight blocks.
Faith's next game will be at the MCCC Tournament against Calvary Bible on Thursday, February 14th at 11:00 AM. The conference tournament is hosted by Ozark Christian College, located in Joplin, MO.
