DALLAS, Texas—The Faith Eagles women's basketball team closed out a challenging fall semester with a pair of losses at the Dallas Christian Christmas Tournament on Monday and Tuesday. The Eagles fell to Dallas Christian, 89-41, and Crowley's Ridge, 64-36.
Lyndi Shepard's 22 points over the two-day stretch was the highlight for the Eagles, who struggled with turnovers and points in transition in both games. Faith committed 60 turnovers in two days that led to 63 points by their opponents.
The Eagles return to Ankeny on Wednesday. Players depart for the Christmas and New Year holidays and have a chance to regroup and refocus for a spring semester schedule that begins on Friday, January 10, with a home game against Ozark Christian College at 5:00 p.m. in Ankeny.
