GRINNELL, Iowa—The Faith Eagles (5-4) volleyball team faced what was likely its most challenging opponent of the season Tuesday night, falling to Grinnell, 3-0.

The Eagles defense couldn't keep up with the potent attack from the tall front line of the Pioneers, who got 10 kills from 6'2" middle blocker, Emma Willhardt, and seven from 6'1" outside hitter, Hannah Taylor.

The strong serving of the Pioneers was equally challenging as Grinnell scored the third-most aces in school history with 15.

Faith fell in straight sets, 25-13, 25-7, and 25-11. Alicia Smith led the way in four statistical categories: Kills (3), aces (2), digs (10), and total points (5).

Faith returns home for a Homecoming matchup against Kansas Christian College on Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
