Faith traveled to Jacksonville, Illinois, riding a three game winning streak, but the streak came to an end against Mac Murray College. Faith fell by a final of 0-4,d dropping to 3-3-0 overall.
Faith's defense played hard and kept the Lady Eagles in the game throughout most of the first half before giving up the first goal at the 36 minute mark. "MacMurray handled the ball well, and they were very physical," said Coach Stupka. "Our defense and freshman goalie, Tayler Marinez, did a good job of keeping the ball out of the goal for most of the first half."
The Lady Eagles kept the game close before giving up three goals during a three minute time span midway through the second half. "It was a tough game for us," added Coach Stupka, "but we learned a lot. I'm confident that we will continue to improve and get back on the winning track soon."
Faith will have an opportunity to get back on the winning track at home against highly-ranked Maranatha Baptist Bible College at 2 P.M. on Monday, September 23.
