Bio

Gary Backous serves as Head Men’s Soccer Coach at Faith Baptist Bible College and brings more than a decade of leadership and success to the program. Over his 14 years leading the Eagles, Backous has established the program as a consistent competitor within NCCAA Division II.

Backous is the winningest coach in program history and has led the Eagles to two NCCAA National Tournament appearances. His teams have achieved significant success at the conference level, capturing both conference tournament and regular season championships. In recognition of his impact, he has been selected as a region Coach of the Year.

Throughout his tenure, Backous has emphasized player development and Christ-centered team culture, coaching eight All-Americans and helping shape student-athletes both on and off the field. His leadership has been instrumental in building a program defined by competitiveness, discipline, and spiritual growth.
