The Eagle men won on Tuesday afternoon in exciting fashion, defeating visiting Grace University in the second overtime to grab their fourth win of the season. Although dominating possession and shots on goal for most of the game, the Eagles couldn't crack the Grace defense, whose solid keeper held the Eagles at bay for 105 minutes.
The Eagles ripped shot after shot but had trouble getting the ball on frame. Just 13 of the Eagles 27 shots were within the goal mouth. Meanwhile, Grace tested Eagle's keeper Jason Scheps just three times, with Scheps up to the task each time. After completing regulation and the first overtime, the Eagles were finally able to connect on a breakaway. After a series of passes opened up a path to the goal, Andrew Baldwin found Oleg Orlov who placed the ball past the Grace keeper for the game winner.
The Eagles return to action at home on Friday, September 29th, in a conference match with Calvary University. That game is scheduled to kick off at 4:30 PM.
