Cross Country Runs Well in Waverly
Waverly, IA -- Faith cross country ran in their largest meet of the year, with 16 teams and 200 runners per race competing on Saturday
The Eagles saw high temperatures and fast competition in their race on Saturday, competing against teams from NCAA Division I to NAIA.
Brian Rohde paced the men's team on their way to a team time of 2:57:47, finishing his race in 30:23.7. Christian Farr (35:46.5) and Brandon Smith (37:18.7) both set new career highs to highlight the men's race.
Carlie Blevins was the sole Faith runner to finish in the top 75 for either team, coming in 71st place with a 6k time of 25:26.3. Becca Hulinsky ran her season best 26:46.1 to finish second for the Eagles.
Both teams will return to action at the Indian Hills Invite in Ottumwa next week.
Up Next: Faith Cross Country takes the road to Ottumwa for a much smaller race on Friday, October 10th. The evening's festivities will kick off with the women's 5k set to begin at 4:00 p.m. CT, with the men's 8k to follow at 4:45 p.m. CT.
