2025-26 Men's Basketball Season Review
(Ankeny, IA) - Faith Men's Basketball completed a historic year at the NCCAA National Tournament, accumulating the second most wins in a season, winning the regular season MCCC championship, and earning the highest coaches poll ranking in program history
Faith Men's Basketball saw all the pieces fall together in a historic season that culminated with a trip to the NCCAA National tournament. The Eagles started the season with a 34 point victory over Moody, and battled to an 8-3 record in the first semester. In December Faith entered the Coaches poll for the first time since 2021, and earned their highest ranking in program history at #6
The team continued winning in January, bringing home the Chaplain's Cup with a road win at Emmaus. The Eagles ended the regular season with a record of 19-8, carrying a seven game win streak and the #1 seed into the Conference Tournament. The Eagles rolled to a win in their semifinal game against Ozark but came up just short in the championship to place second at the MCCC Tournament. Coming into the North Region tournament as the #1 seed, the Eagles lost to North Central in the semifinals, but their regular season resume proved to be enough for an At-Large bid to the NCCAA National Tournament and the Eagles' season played on.
Faith proved they belonged at the national level as they went on to win their first round and consolation game, while coming up just short of a trip to the semifinals. The Eagles finished their time at the tournament 2-1 against some of the best teams in the nation, and ended the season with the second most wins in program history, finishing with a 22-11 record.
