RCTC started the match strong, outshooting the Eagles in the first half and controlling most of the tempo. Despite their opponent's intensity, the Eagles scored first as BayoJoy Afolabi got the Eagles on the board with her first goal of the season in the 33rd minute. Megan Yuan faced five SOG in the first half, saving all five attempts.
The Second half saw more even play from both teams. The Yellowjackets scored early to tie the match, but Jordyn Frerichs responded with a goal of her own in the 60th minute. RCTC scored again with ten minutes to go and the match ended in a draw.
