Ankeny, IA -- Faith Women's Volleyball will host the 2025 Faith Classic on September 19-20, with four total NCCAA schools representing the North and Midwest Regions. The Eagles will play two matches on Friday against Crown and Maranatha, and one match on Saturday against North Central.
LAST TIME OUT
Faith took a 3-0 victory over in-state rivals, Emmaus University on Tuesday. With the win, the Eagles moved to 1-1 in MCCC play and 6-3 overall.
TOP TEN
Faith earned a top ten spot in the National Rankings on September 9th, as voted on by select coaches. The Eagles are currently ranked #6 and are one of four MCCC teams represented in the rankings.
ON A ROLL
The Eagles are off to a hot start in 2025, winning five of their first seven matches with one loss coming after 5 close sets.
FAITH NOTES
- The Eagles finished the 2024 season with an 18-15 record, placing second at the MCCC tournament and winning back to back North Region championships.
- Faith reached the NCCAA National tournament for the third time in four years in 2024, and look to sustain their on-court success in 2025.
- The Eagles return 8 members from the 2024 squad, six of which started double-digit matches in 2024; Codie Wirges (33), Belle Wirges (33), Victoria Nerem (33), Maddie Hofmann (33), Grace Brower (33), and Alyssa Stephens (26).
SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
The Eagles will look to avenge their previous 3-2 loss to Crown while continuing their strong play against North Central. Faith and Maranatha have not faced each other in 2025, but the Eagles took a 3-0 victory the last time the two teams met.
