Eagles Continue Their Winning Ways
Gladstone, MO -- Faith volleyball took the commanding victory over the Spurgeon Knights on Monday, marking another regular season sweep, and the 15th win of the season for the Eagles.
Faith never trailed in any of the three sets, winning 25-13, 25-14, and 25-15. The Eagles jumped out to a 15-2 lead in the first set before Spurgeon found their footing and a way to trade points the rest of the set. The Knights kept the next two sets a little closer, but could not keep up with Faith's smothering offense and the Eagles would walk away with the sweep and all available players seeing the floor.
Codie Wirges swung well in the match, recording 13 kills on a .435 hitting percentage. Maddie Hoffman led the team in digs while earning 5 of the teams 11 service aces, and Qwynn Nerem assisted on 40 of the Eagles' 46 kills. The Eagles brought home their 15th win of the season as they enter their final stretch before the postseason with 8 regular season matches remaining.
UP NEXT: Faith volleyball hosts Calvary University on Thursday, looking to avenge their 3-2 loss earlier this season. First serve in Nettleton is set for 4:00 p.m. CT.
