Eagles Earn first MCCC win over Barclay
Ankeny, IA -- It was a Lundberg show on Friday, as the Faith men's soccer team took the 2-0 win over the 2024 MCCC tournament champs.

In an all too familiar tune, Austin Lundberg got the Eagles on the board first, scoring on a pass from Parker Lundberg in the tenth minute. Parker Lundberg scored the second goal for the Eagles, assisted by Andre Quintana in the 64th minute to solidify the Conference win.
The Eagles continued their trend of scoring early in the first half, as they outshot their opponent 7-2 through the first 45. Austin Lundberg scored an early goal to mark his 4th of the season, and his second game-winning goal. Enzo Pileggi earned two save in the first half to send the Eagles into halftime up 1-0.
Faith continued their strong play in the second half, not allowing Barclay any ground, as they once again outshot their opponent and landed an insurance goal to increase their lead. The Eagles would stay solid throughout as they marched their way to the 2-0 victory over Barclay. Pileggi's two saves were enough to give him his first clean sheet of the season.
