2025 Men's Soccer Season Review
Ankeny, IA -- Faith Men's Soccer soared to new heights in 2025, highlighted by the programs’ first NCCAA tournament appearance in ten years
Faith Men's Soccer had high expectations entering the season, bringing in 15 newcomers to compliment their 10 returning players. The Eagles started the year with two highly competitive matches against North Central and Crown, and proceeded to play undefeated in the entire month of September. Faith stepped into the first Coaches Poll of the year at #6, their first time being ranked since 2021.
The Eagles completed the regular season with a record of 10-3-2, finishing as the MCCC regular season runner-up and ready to make a run at the postseason. At the Midwest Christian College Conference tournament, Faith took a 2-1 semifinal win over Barclay before facing CCCB in the championship match where they came up just short against the Saints. The Eagles returned home to host the North Region tournament as the #1 seed, where they took a commanding 4-0 win over Trinity in the semifinals before facing Crown in what would become the most thrilling game of the tournament. The Eagles found themselves down a goal early in the second half, and would not find the equalizer until the final minute of regulation. Playing evenly through both overtime periods, the championship match came down to PKs where Faith found the 4-3 victory!
In their first National Tournament appearance since 2015, Faith made a statement as they finished pool play with the third most points out of all teams, and came two points shy of earning their spot in the National Championship match. The Eagles finished the tournament 1-0-2 against top teams in the nation, and ended their historic season with a record of 12-4-5.
