Freshman Midfielder Austin Lundberg continued his strong offensive play, scoring his first goal of the day less than two minutes into the match. He scored again eight minutes later, giving the Eagles a 2-0 lead that would hold through the first half. Parker Lundberg and Alan Moscosa assisted on one goal apiece to mark their first assists of the season.
The first half was all Faith as the Eagles settled in quickly, scoring twice in the first ten minutes and controlling the flow of the game through halftime. Faith outshot Union 9-3 in the first half, with four of those shots on goal.
The halftime break gave Union a chance to regroup and they came into the second half with energy, refusing to go down without a fight. The Warriors scored at the midway point in the second half, but try as they might, could not find any more opportunities to tie the match. The defensive line for the Eagles once again held strong, only allowing six shots from their opponent on the day. Faith dug deep into their roster as 19 players saw the field to contribute to the eventual 2-1 victory over the Union Warriors.
